The Prime Minister discusses plans to develop and expand the port of Alexandria

The Egyptian Prime Minister, Mostafa Madbouly, discussed mechanisms and plans for the development and expansion of the port of Alexandria, during the council's weekly meeting via video conference, in the presence of the ministers of justice, education, culture, local development, health and population, and the public business sector. , and transportation, as well as the governor of Alexandria, the head of the Egyptian Survey Authority, the head of Alexandria Port, and the head of the Maritime Safety Authority, along with representatives of a number of concerned authorities.

He indicated that there were directives from President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, during the inauguration of the Bashayer El-Khair Project (3) to develop and expand the port of Alexandria, pointing out that there is a plan for development and expansion prepared by the Ministry of Transport, whereby any piece of land that will be needed will be allocated to achieve A national goal is to develop our most important port, which controls about 40 percent of Egypt's cargo.”

Mostafa Madbouly noted that any required legislative or legal procedures will be initiated to transfer the lands needed by the Alexandria Port Development Scheme.
