LG tests the performance of the world's first foldable TV at the Dubai Mall
LG Electronics unveiled its latest range of OLED TVs at The Dubai Mall, most notably the world's first foldable OLED TV and a range of new 4K models designed to provide a cinematic experience at home. As part of its mission to bring the latest innovations to local consumers, LG is giving visitors the chance to experience first-hand the leading picture and sound quality of LG's popular OLED TVs, as well as the opportunity to connect with product specialists.
Among the technologies on display are the LG range, which includes premium models designed to attract the attention of passers-by:
LG SIGNATURE OLED R TV is the epitome of luxury in the design of home entertainment products, and features advanced technologies that enable it to seamlessly blend with the most sophisticated interiors in homes and provide greater flexibility for users to get more comfort in arranging their space.
As a premium TV, every LG SIGNATURE OLED R TV is custom designed by the company's experts in South Korea. The TV's 65-inch flexible OLED display is made from a single sheet of glass and features self-lighting pixels and independent dimming control to deliver a new standard for picture quality with depth, precision and vibrancy.
LG SIGNATURE OLED R TV enables users to use it with three distinct viewing modes: Full view, Line view and Zero View. In Full View mode, the TV is extended to its full size of 65 inches. Powered by LG's leading processor technology, the TV uses artificial intelligence and a deep learning algorithm to optimize picture and sound quality according to the surrounding environment.
In Line View mode, the screen slides down to its base, revealing only a small portion of the required information. Users can choose from clock, frame, mood or music mode to create a relaxing atmosphere. And when in Zero View mode, OLED TV mesmerizes viewers as it easily disappears out of sight, creating perfect spatial and visual harmony. While in this mode, homeowners can enjoy the view of their surroundings and continue playing their favorite music and podcasts emanating from the 4.2-channel 100-watt Dolby Atmos sound system.
TV for games
The key to a great gaming experience for electronic game enthusiasts is the clarity of the screen image and the low response time. The LG C1 4K OLED TV features AI Picture Pro, which recognizes on-screen objects such as faces and objects, distinguishes between foregrounds and backgrounds, and processes each object independently to make images three-dimensional and lifelike. The C1 OLED TV has ultra-low input lag with an incredible 1ms response time, ensuring synchronization between the console and screen in real time and providing a competitive edge against opponents.
LG has even partnered with some of the biggest names in tech and gaming, like AMD, NVIDIA, and Xbox. LG's OLED TVs, such as the C1, are the only G-SYNC compatible TVs currently on the market. LG's OLED TVs utilize the precision and control of individual self-illuminated pixels to take full advantage of G-SYNC compatibility, providing fast response times and smoother gameplay even in HD mode.
LG has also partnered with AMD to bring FreeSync™ Premium to the C1 OLED TV and other new 2021 models. Less flicker and lower latency enable the best performance in exciting games with a clear and smooth gaming experience.
At the end of 2020, LG entered into an exclusive partnership with Xbox to highlight the great gaming experience that is provided when the Xbox Series X is connected to LG OLED TVs. In addition to the fast response times, the new C1 OLED TV features great graphics and an enhanced picture with Dolby Vision IQ and Dolby Atmos technologies. The screen provides gamers who use a console device and a personal computer, four HDMI 2.1 ports for more connectivity and take advantage of the full potential of the screen. LG C1 OLED TV supports Wi-Fi 6 technology that provides fast and reliable access to popular gaming apps and services such as Google Stadia and Twitch.
LG SIGNATURE OLED R and C1 OLED TVs feature voice control in several languages, including: English, Arabic (Standard, Emirati, Saudi, and Egyptian dialects), French, Spanish, and Russian. With the option of Natural Language Processing (NLP), TVs are able to understand context and complex questions without the need for them to be repeated by the user. Homeowners can simply conduct an advanced dialogue with the TV to check the weather in multiple locations, optimize audio-visual settings, learn more about a movie actor, background music and more, in a conversation akin to a user would have with another human being.
