Benmoussa: The new development model opens the way for a prosperous Morocco and a strong country

Shakib Benmoussi, head of the Special Committee of the Development Model, said that the national ambition that Moroccans seek is a prosperous Morocco capable of creating wealth and distributing them and developing competencies and qualifying them, and a program for all citizens and citizens within the framework of social justice and fairness.

During his presentation in Parliament on the results of the general report of the new development model, Benmoussa said today, Tuesday, that all actors in the development work in Morocco have a conviction that there is a need for a rapid move towards a new development model that opens the way to achieve national ambition.

The same spokesman pointed out that this ambition is based on basic bets that can make Morocco succeed in achieving it through the reference of integration between a strong state and a strong society, i.e. the state of institutions that are concerned with strategic aspects and legalization and protecting citizens and opens the way for the liberation of energies.

The head of the Royal Committee stressed that "the strong state to which we aspire does not mean that the state must play all roles, but rather its role lies in preserving the strategic side and developing the organizational framework that helps all parties to play its role.".

"The strong state must be matched by a strong society, meaning a pactured society with equal opportunities and based on the development of capabilities, and citizens take the initiative to diligence and innovate to liberate the energies available in all regions.".

The Chairman of the Special Committee of the Development Model considered that the transition to the new development model is based on basic cranes, including a renewed administrative apparatus that enhances confidence with citizens and creates the appropriate framework for the economy to grow through public sector services, including administration and public contracting..

In addition to the renewed administrative apparatus, Benmoussi pointed out the need to pay attention to the digital, saying in this regard: “We do not consider digital only a technical matter, but also have the ability to achieve the shift in the economy and the relationship between the citizen and the administration.”.

Regarding the implementation of the requirements of the new development model, the Chairman of the Special Committee of the Development Model said that the report proposed a national charter for development to provide compatibility between the various actors regarding the common goals and references that must be based on.

He also pointed out that the committee for the new development model proposed the creation of a new mechanism under the supervision of the king to keep pace with the new development model project, through tracking and stimulation, within the framework of the constitutional rules and the responsibility of all parties.

Benmoussa concluded his presentation to parliamentarians by saying that "the path towards development is not easy, so each party must consider that this effort must always be and overcome the public interest in the factional interest to achieve the hope and dream of all Moroccans.".
