Pushing cars to pump rainwater from the streets of Beni Suef
The local unit of the center and city of Beni Suef, this Friday evening, under the supervision of accountant Hani Al-Juwaili, the city's president, in cooperation with the Drinking Water and Sanitation Company, paid cars to pump water from the gathering places on the main and subsidiary streets of the city.
The accountant, Hani Al-Juwaili, the city’s president, supervised the raising of rainwater in a number of main areas, where immediate treatment is taken to raise water and rain residues in all streets and remove traces of rain water, in implementation of the instructions of Dr. Muhammad Hani Ghoneim, Governor of Beni Suef.
In another context, Dr. Mohamed Hani Ghoneim, Governor of Beni Suef, instructed the concerned executives from city heads and service sector officials to raise the degree of preparedness and take the necessary measures to deal with the repercussions of the weather instability, within the framework of the directives of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers to review the plan of preparations to deal with the rainy season and the season winter.
Especially after the Meteorological Authority’s announcement, which included a reference to the country’s exposure to a wave of bad weather “beginning today, Friday, until next Sunday,” and what is accompanied by a decrease in temperatures and light and medium rain, as well as the presence of wind activity in the governorates of northern Upper Egypt.
This came during his meeting with the Secretary-General, Major General Jamal Masoud, to discuss the reports of the operations room and crisis management in the governorate’s general office, regarding reviewing the governorate’s preparations plan to deal with the winter season and the heavy rain season, which all concerned agencies participate in implementing, directing the continuous activation of the operating rooms and the readiness of equipment and emergency teams. In the directorates and local units to face any developments that may result from the wave of fluctuations in the weather, and inform the main operating room of the General Court on the numbers of the operating room and on the WhatsApp group of the operating room in the governorate.
The governor indicated his assignments to the officials of the drinking water company and its branches in the governorate to raise the degree of preparedness and ensure the readiness of all sewage stations and that they work with the required efficiency and full capacity to deal with emergency situations, with an emphasis on the continuation of disinfection work in conformity with the sewage networks of the areas served with sewage.
As well as the readiness of scavenging and water suction vehicles from areas or places that may witness water gatherings in coordination with the emergency teams connected to the governorate operations room and sub-operation rooms in local units and directorates to contribute and intervene in the drainage of water in the event of rain or torrential rain, in addition to coordination with the competent authorities from the agencies And the service directorates and the Red Crescent to be ready for rapid intervention in the event of any repercussions “on the expected changes in the weather during that period.”
