Snapchat today introduced a new feature called 3D Paint, which allows you to take advantage of augmented reality.

Users can now draw on their faces using the phone's front camera, and the feature also works with the back camera, allowing you to draw on objects in the environment.

The feature allows users to easily create new augmented reality snaps through the device's camera, and the launch of 3D Paint is part of Snap's growing investment in the field of augmented reality.

In the past two months alone, Snap has raised $1 billion to invest in more media content and augmented reality features, and has also launched its third generation of Spectacles with a dual camera capable of creating 3D content.

iOS users can find 3D Paint under the Create section of the AR Bar, which was first announced in April as a dedicated space under the Snapchat camera for creating and browsing AR content.
