Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry opens the door for candidacy for membership of the Board of Directors

Manama, March 2 (BNA): Chairman of the Election Committee for the 30th session of the Board of Directors of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Adel Hussain Al-Maskati, confirmed the opening of candidacy for membership of the Chamber’s Board of Directors, starting from tomorrow, Thursday, until Sunday, March 13, from From eight in the morning until two in the afternoon, at the headquarters of the Customer Service Department in the “Traders House” building. The Chairman of the Elections Committee added that the requirements for candidacy for membership of the Chamber’s Board of Directors in accordance with Article 25 of Decree-Law No. (48) of 2012 regarding the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry and its amendments are to submit a copy of the membership data, a copy of the candidate’s passport, a copy of the candidate’s identity card, and a photo A recent personal identification of the candidate, and a letter from the company nominating him for it, provided that his name is mentioned in the voter list as a legal representative of this company (for member companies only), and a copy of the valid commercial register, along with a declaration signed by the candidate according to the form prepared by the Elections Committee, and a good certificate Biography and behavior from the competent department of the Ministry of Interior, and the balance of payment of the candidacy amount for membership of the Board of Directors of 200 Bahraini Dinars. The Chairman of the Elections Committee stated that issuing a certificate of good conduct from the competent department of the Ministry of Interior requires obtaining a statement from the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry, signed by the Director of the Chamber's Legal Affairs Department and stamped with its seal, according to the requirements of the Ministry of Interior. And he indicated that the Elections Committee will review all applications for candidacy and notify the member by fax or e-mail of its decision therein by a date no later than the end of the day following the submission of the application. At most, from the date of his notification, and the Committee shall decide on the grievance and notify the member of its decision thereon no later than the end of the day following the submission of the grievance.
